Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

My family, don’t never have had traditions passed throw generations, but for the great passion of my dad for cooking, I inherited in my memory some recipes, typical of Milan, as “casola” “tripe” and from Cremona “pumpkin tortelli” and the cake called “sbrisolona”.
A cooking tradition created directly from my dad and his curiosity, is “Strudel” a Trentino alto Adige recipe.
<<My dad loved walking on Dolomiti, famous mountains in Trentino alto Adige. Every years, on summer ,with my uncle Franco and his family, we went always to Molveno in a hotel, where there was to work, a chef, who made a very good Strudel.
<A special Strudel needs passion, better have some Tyrolean genesš, sweet apples typical of that area, raisins, cinnamon, pine nuts, sugar and puff pastry.>
I was saying… My dad, with Franco, his best friend, every day, after the walk, went to visit the cook in the kitchen and once they became familiar, he managed to have the secret of a delicious Strudel revealed only to him and to uncle Franco!>>.
Oh, I cannot reveal the secret to you; only my dad and uncle Franco knew it. I watched him, make it, many times, I can say I learned well, making an excellent Strudel, now with my variant, but the touch of my dad is irreproducible, it will always remain in my memory of taste.
I imagine that, in this moment, the two friends, will still be preparing a delicious Strudel…I can smell it.
