Logbook from Sanremo, Liguria, Italy

Yesterday, my bicycle was ready, to fly in the blue of another sky. The last time was in Salobreña, Spain; now, after seven months in Iberian peninsula, we are back in Italy, with the first stop in Sanremo, beautiful city of the “Riviera of flowers”, famous for the music festival in all over the world.

I got on the bike and go, along the coast, with air in my hair; on the right, there are the beaches, and everywhere there is flower scent. Occasionally I stopped me to see the landscape, and then, going straight, towards the road back, accompanied by the sun again high, I observe people celebrate the starting of summer, and beaches are yet crowded of smiles😀.

I pedal as I were flying, light, fast and this simple thing , gives joy to me.

Do you have any collections?

My green lung

When we’re travelling, it’s natural for me adopt plants. Arrived in a new place, I like much, going to discover it, and almost every time, I  see an interesting plant to take a twig to try to reproduced it.

Now, apart from this, I also use the seeds of the fruits I eat to let them germinate and see what they are like😄 and…it result that, during travel, it’s possible our motorhome turns into a greenhouse.🤩🌱

…p.s. the last one I want to experience is the date palm 🌴 cause we’re again on the road.

Cold weather, warm home

How do you feel about cold weather?

Granada, Andalusia, may 2024…”;snow on the sierra Nevada”.

I’m born in a winter month, January, in north of Italy, Milan. It was cold.

Our house for rent, had heating only in a room at the entrance… I learned well to use the bed duvet😉

I don’t like cold weather, <I remember Christmas night, when, to stay warm, I wore pajamas to go to mass, and then… away, into bed>

Now, is better, for winter, go in warm places, so it remain me only a romantic idea of snow mountain, but next season I could remain🤔 in Valbondione to go skiing. The important is, the home will be warm.

Family friends

Share a story about someone who had a positive impact on your life.

Gilda and Gianni were friends of family; they worked with my parents and they like very much go on the road with motorhome. Every time they could, leaving for a new trip, they began a new adventure and I was fascinated by their form of freedom: where we got a hotel room, they stopped and remained in motorhome, in front of sea, on the mountain…in short, free to stay wherever they wanted.😃

Gilda e Gianni, were “hippies” of their times, at least for holiday periods and, when I was a little girl, I wanted to do their own life.

Now, already from some years, I do this life and not only during holiday, every moment is good  to regain possession of own life and with Fiore it’s even better.

What are your favorite brands and why?

Almunecar, Costa Tropical, Granada, Andalusia, Spain.

Today we’re gone to second-hand goods market place. Here, on sunday along the coast of Granada, is a good pastime.

Walking around market place, it can be found many things of different type, sometimes of brand too and not used, but new, There are many clothes of “disegual”, a sewing machine “singer” and others.

I don’t look at the brands, but what I like; so I’m back with a nice t’shirt for Fiore, only because there isn’t  interesting for me too.

I can say that, usually, I don’t buy something for its brand, except for sports, in fact, when I need, I go In a “Decathlon”, where I can buy with good prices and good quality.😀

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

Every time we travelling, something new happens, to ruin our mood; motorhome is old and is normal it fails.

Few days ago the service battery died, waiting to change, we used the spare lights, like when we were in the tiny van and our memories were immediately in the past, < we can do it, we can do it…nothing will stop us!>.

Yesterday we are gone to change battery, I was all ok, and we were happy, to see everything goes well again. The traditional our quote, < we can do it>, is lucky charm 😄🍀

The last year, we sold our “Serena”… We thought it will be difficult, but  < we can do it> and now it is in another place with another owner.perfect😉👍

What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

As a tourist of the early of twentieth century, I like traveling with local transport, arriving in places, where to stop, and after to visit the part of architecture and museums turn around the local life, knowing traditions, language to deepen the knowledge of the human territory.

When we use motorhome,  holiday is more interesting because we know people from many places in the world and so, the pleasure to travel has a meaning of greater discovery  to share and compare with others, in real time.

Then a last part of journey, I like make in natural places to relax me, before the return to home.😄

Nice camping😀I liked.

Have you ever been camping?

Travelling with small vehicles, is a pleasure use tent, where it’s possible;  it gives a sense of freedom, of lightness that is beautiful

We used than one time tent. During the Celtic Feast of “Beltane”, in June, there are many tents, in the Arcobaleno park in Piemonte, people stay together, dancing, eating and making typical Celtic activities as  archery.

Fantastic is also camping when we go on mountains, if there isn’t a ban, is nice close a river, to go to take sun in summer,

Camping has also now in Spain, many areas with wood tables and barbecue, perfect to spend weekend with family and children.

Camping, is also an opportunity to know new people and stay  cheerful.😀

Alternative life style🌟

Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.

Risking don’t find another house I decided to go away from the last one.

That environment I didn’t like anymore and the only decision to take was that, find a garage for our things and then go for a new adventure with the tiny van.

Was exactly in this way, without regret. Actually we have changed van with a motorhome to be more comfortable, staying in winter in Portugal or Spain, is fantastic to know many people and have new friends.😀

…p.s. we found a new interesting home, in wood, in the mountains, and when will be hot, we’ll go there, refreshing ourselves.

This is our alternative life style.👍😉

Animal world is magic✨

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

This night, I opened the door of motorhome and the two cats of yesterday, were there, again, in front of me, < meow, meow,,we’re hungry!>.

It isn’t the first time, that a soul knocks on our door, so, we’re organized. There is always some extra cat food, but while they ended to eat, a dog arrived ending the stocks😯.

Until few time ago , she was here, looking at me, friendly…”animals are magic”, they made the tom tom, to arrive at the same hour. Our Grisú, uses very well his third eye and he feels  other animals, in fact, tonight, he maintains own food for much time, in his dish, before finishing.😄It was he, who invited them?Magic!
